This lack of <strong>optimization<\/strong> persists throughout, with drastic frame drops even on <strong>Medium<\/strong> settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The core gameplay revolves around gathering resources, completing quests for local NPCs like the <strong>Reverend<\/strong> or the <strong>Banker<\/strong>, and gradually restoring your uncle\u2019s hotel. The sense of isolation is decent, but seeing your <strong>dog sled<\/strong> run without any harnesses while the dogs are a meter away from the sled completely destroys the immersion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gameplay &amp; Mechanics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest stumbling block is the mining itself. Despite being called <strong>Gold Fever<\/strong>, mining gold is incredibly boring and inefficient. You stand in one spot, hold the left mouse button, and watch a bucket slowly fill with dirt.
