Olives matter most because they’re used to upgrade Scrappy from Level 3 to Level 4, alongside 6 Prickly Pears and 1 Cat Bed.
If you’d rather avoid contested zones, there’s a safer alternative: the Lush Blooms event, which spawns Nature Baskets that can contain Olives and other fruit making it a solid way to collect both Olives and Prickly Pears with less risk.
Recommended Preparation
Before you load into Blue Gate, set yourself up to keep what you farm:
- Run a custom loadout with Safe Pockets (augment).
That way, even if you get eliminated, your Olives can still make it back to Scrappy’s Hideout. - Use your Blue Gate Interactive Map to plan your approach.
The Olive Grove is in the south, so route around open sightlines and common ambush paths. - Expect PvP.
This spot is popular, so assume someone else is either farming it—or camping the routes to it.
Step 1: Head to Blue Gate and Locate the Olive Grove
Load into Blue Gate with your prepared kit. Open your map and set a waypoint to the southern Olive Grove. You’re looking for a cluster of olive trees mixed with vegetation patches.
Move cautiously—this area is often contested. Don’t sprint through open ground, and take the long way around if you’re hearing footsteps or gunfire nearby.
Step 2: Gather Olives from the Trees
Once you’re in the grove:
- Search around the base of olive trees Olives can be picked up from the ground nearby.
- Some trees may allow interaction (e.g., kicking them) to drop extra fruit.
Spawns aren’t always guaranteed, so make a full lap through the grove. If you come up short, extract safely and queue into a new raid to refresh the spawns.
Step 3: Safer Alternative — Lush Blooms Event
If Blue Gate feels too hot (or you want a lower-risk farm), wait for the Lush Blooms event.
During Lush Blooms:
- Nature Baskets appear across the map
- They can contain Olives, Prickly Pears, Apricots, and other fruit
This is especially efficient if you’re collecting both Olives and Prickly Pears for the same Scrappy upgrade.
Step 4: Extract and Store Your Olives
Once you’ve got what you need:
- head to the nearest extraction point
- play it slow getting greedy at the end is how runs get thrown
If you’re running Safe Pockets, your items stay secure even if you go down before extraction.
Back in the hideout, deliver the Olives to Scrappy to progress the Level 3 → Level 4 upgrade.
