Prerequisites – What You Need Before Starting ⚙️
Before jumping into Act 4, make sure you’ve completed The Great Convention Part I, specifically the quest “Noctua’s Return”. Without this, you won’t have access to the starting quest “Call to Arms.”
Essential Gear Checklist:
✓ Cutteray – Multiple doors require this
✓ Radiation Suit – Wreck of Hephaestus section needs it
✓ Hand Scanner – Deep Desert tracking quest
✓ Mk5-Mk6 weapons – Recommended for boss fights
✓ Healkits – Stock up, especially for Arena fights
💡 Pro tip: Don’t start this quest chain unless you have ALL required gear. Running back to grab items mid-quest breaks flow and wastes time.
Call To Arms – Starting Act 4 🎯
Head to Harko Village and find Elara Tuek in the back room of the bar (her usual spot). She’ll direct you to her contact at the north exit who’ll transport you to Neo Carthag Arena.

This is where the real fun begins.
The Art Of Kanly – Arena First Tier ⚔️
Scavenger Waves
Speak with Maksim Dubrov at the arena gate to trigger an awesome cutscene. Your first fight is against approximately 8 Scavengers – they’re around Mk4 difficulty (Aluminum tier) and die to single melee attacks if you’re rocking Mk6 gear.

⚠️ Warning: There’s a vendor behind you on the right before the fight. You enter the arena at whatever HP you currently have – heal up or you’ll regret it.
Brute the Scrapper (Boss)
Your first real challenge. Brute the Scrapper is a 3-phase boss at roughly Mk5 difficulty (Duraluminum tier).
Strategy:
- Two unshielded melee adds spawn at start of each phase
- Nuke his shield down immediately – it doesn’t regenerate
- Ranged combat recommended (he’s hard to stagger in melee)
- Kill adds first, then focus boss
After defeating Brute, Maksim sends you to Sheol to investigate a missing courier.
Secrets of the Exile – Sheol Mission 🏜️
Required: Radiation Suit + Cutteray

Navigate to northwest Sheol to find a downed ornithopter. Two quest objectives here:
- Interact with the body beside the wreck
- Loot the metal container

Next, head south to the Wreck of the Ourea. Use your Cutteray on the door of the Downed Ship. Inside you’ll find the Radiation Core, but you must “close” it by interacting with a machine in the room behind it.
❌ Common mistake: Three enemies ambush you on exit. You can kill them or just run past – your choice.
Return to Neo Carthag Arena to continue.
Arena Second Tier – Kirab and Aren 🦂
Kirab Waves
Three waves of Kirab, around Mk5 difficulty. Pretty straightforward if you’ve made it this far.
Aren the Exile (Boss)
Second arena boss, similar structure to Brute. He summons adds each phase, but he’s actually easier in melee because he staggers easily. Chain slow blade attacks to keep him locked down.
Breaking the Chains – Deep Desert Hunt 🔍
Required: Scanner
Maksim sends you to track down an ‘elacca’ shipment in the Deep Desert. Enter from the northeast entry point – the quest takes place in sector A9.
At the downed ornithopter, scan left (facing the Testing Station) to reveal footprints leading to Testing Station 217.
Testing Station Layout:
- One lock-in room (3 enemies)
- All enemies are Mk5 difficulty
- Quest item is down the stairs after lock-in
- Collect 3 elacca crates throughout the station
- Atreides troops spawn when you loot each crate
| Arena Tier | Enemy Type | Difficulty | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Third Tier | Drugged Fighters | Medium | Kill ranged enemies first, 3 waves |
| Third Tier | Slavers | Medium-Hard | Focus ranged, kite shielded melee |
| Third Tier Boss | Master of Chains | Hard | Keep moving, dash to avoid drillshot, kill adds every 30s |
Extinguishing The Flames – Wreck of Hephaestus 🔥
Required: Cutteray + Radiation Suit

Head to Wreck of Hephaestus (east of Harko Village on Overland Map). Follow markers to find a corpse, then search the cargo deck.
Key Steps:
- Fight through 5 enemies (they come one at a time)
- Go right through the green door (check left first for loot behind Cutteray door)
- Kill ~5 guards in the room
- Put on Radiation Suit and enter next area
- Fight two waves (4 enemies each)
- In second cargo area, go right → kill guards → use Cutteray on panel
- Pick up Purple Key Band (awkward pickup – stand to the left)

💡 Pro tip: There’s one Iodine Tablet in the radiation zone if you forgot your suit.
Arena Fourth Tier – Sandflies and Thrax 🔥
Sandflies Waves (Round One)
- Wave 1: Two Flamethrower Heavies + one Sniper (fire rounds)
- Wave 2: Two melee with large shields (easy)
Sandflies Waves (Round Two) – In The Dark
- Wave 1: Two Flamethrower Heavies + one melee
- Wave 2: Two ranged (fire) + one melee
- Wave 3: Two Flamethrowers + three melee (hardest wave)
Sandflies and Suboids
- Wave 1: Two melee rushers
- Wave 2: 12 melee enemies (kite like crazy)
- Wave 3: Fewer enemies but three have shields (prioritize shieldless)
Thrax the Flamer (Boss)

Despite appearances, Thrax is the easiest boss so far. Low shield, slow dash, super easy to kite. He spawns two adds per health threshold – ignore them and nuke him down.
A Deadly Poison – Old Carthag Exploration 💀
Required: Cutteray
Finally, the quest everyone asks about: “Where to start A Deadly Poison?” – you’ve reached it!
Head to Old Carthag (between Harko and Arrakeen on Overworld map). Take the right path (red), not the green left path.
Progression:
- After projection room, go left (requires Cutteray)
- Fight two sets of enemies
- Three-wave fight through green door (2 melee + 1 ranged per wave)
- Loot chest for Mk5 Assault Ornithopter Engine
- Use Cutteray on floor panel (might be bugged – just stand on it)
- Trigger Pod room, then interact with console (spawns 2 enemies)
- Fight ambush (1 melee + 2 ranged from behind)
- Retrieve abomination, loot purple key card
- Break through wall at top (game doesn’t clearly indicate this)

✓ Reward: Unlock Dual Blades weapon type
Arena Fifth Tier – Final Challenges 🗡️
Zealots
New terrain makes this slightly harder:
- Wave 1: 2 ranged + 2 melee
- Wave 2: 2 ranged + 2 heavy
- Wave 3: Fewer enemies but poison attacks
Abominations
All melee, larger ones use poison grenades. Kite strategy: Bait them to high ground, jump between platforms, pick off at range.
Sinnu the Poisoner (Boss)
Three-phase fight focused on speed and kiting. Sinnu uses melee attacks and grenade showers. Spawns Abomination adds each phase (easy to kill). Keep distance and keep moving.
Rewards:
✓ Adept Dual Blades
✓ Feyd’s Spare Blades
Facedancer Assassin
Story-heavy but mechanically easy. Stay on high ground, unload bullets. They get stuck in shield charge. No adds.
Meet the Free Traders – Fallen Light Finale 🏛️
Return to Harko Village, speak with Elara Tuek. She sends you to Fallen Light (accessible via Overworld map marker, not through Deep Desert).

Fallen Light Structure:
- Three waves of enemies with NPC ally
- Climbing puzzle (loot Power Pack + Leap Suspensor Belt)
- Three more arena waves (tougher enemies)
- Jumping puzzle (loot key from green room)
- Final arena waves (hardest yet – use terrain)
Minotaur Fight (Final Boss)
Spawns adds every 30 seconds. Two strategies:
- Nuke him fast but risk being overwhelmed
- Handle waves methodically (safer)

Grenades and turrets help significantly. Avoid direct contact when possible.
After story revelations and confronting the Face Dancer, return to Elara Tuek in Harko Village.
Final Reward: Asterion’s End (110 damage Long Blade)
Head to any Trade Post in Hagga Basin to complete Act 4.
Conclusion – Act 4 Complete ✅
The Great Convention Part II is one of the meatier story acts, featuring multiple boss fights, exploration segments, and the coveted Dual Blades unlock. If you’re properly geared (Mk5-Mk6), most fights are manageable with solid kiting and add management.
Act 5 hasn’t released yet, so we’re waiting to see where the story goes next.
