Shani: Don’t let it spot you, or it’ll call in reinforcements.
The Snitch is an unarmed ARC reconnaissance drone that patrols key areas and constantly scans for human activity. Its main danger isn’t firepower it’s escalation: once it detects a threat, it can summon reinforcements from orbit.
Combat
The Snitch has no weapons and no armor, but it becomes a serious problem if it reaches an alerted state. When alarmed, it will:
- Trigger a loud siren to warn nearby ARC units
- Then call in reinforcements, typically Wasps and Hornets
Because of that, Snitches are often treated as a high-priority target by Raiders who want to keep fights under control.
Weaknesses & Hit Points
You can spot the Snitch’s thrusters by the white sections on its hull.
- Destroying two thrusters can cause the drone to lose lift and fall
- A long enough drop can instantly destroy it on impact
- If it loses only one thruster, it tends to fly more erratically, making follow-up shots harder
How to deal with it
- Don’t get seen: move from cover to cover, or use foliage to break line of sight
- Kill it fast: take it down before it finishes the reinforcement call
- Optional farming tactic: some Raiders intentionally provoke a Snitch to reliably pull in Wasps/Hornets and harvest their drivers
Loot
Common drops/materials associated with the Snitch include:
- ARC Powercell
- ARC Alloy
- Sensors
- ARC Thermo Lining
- ARC Synthetic Resin
- Snitch Scanner (unique drop)
Snitch Scanner (unique item)
The Snitch Scanner is the standout component recovered from this drone. It’s used to upgrade the Utility Station, and many Raiders also repurpose it in the field: when thrown, it can trigger a reinforcement call that targets perceived threats near the scanner’s location.
Codex Entry
Snitches appear to function as ARC’s airborne spotters and coordinators, helping maintain communications and guiding orbital drops. Shani famously describes them as ARC’s “eyes in the sky.”
