Shani: Raiders much more experienced than you have tried to take one on, and very few returned in one piece.
The Leaper is an agile, four-legged brute that typically patrols open spaces. It carries a powerful shockwave pulse that hits anyone nearby, and it can leap at Raiders from surprisingly long distances. For a long time, many Raiders have treated it as a threat best avoided.
Leapers are most common in high-risk areas, often guarding valuable objectives or patrolling alongside smaller, faster enemies. That mix creates layered pressure, since the Leaper forces movement while other ARC units punish mistakes.
During Tech Test 2, the Leaper was known as the Bison.
Attack patterna
The Leaper’s main attack is exactly what the name suggests. It launches itself at Raiders at high speed to crush them, dealing heavy damage even if it does not land perfectly on top of you. It is also unusually accurate and can still connect even when a Raider is sprinting away at full speed.
In addition to its leap, it has a shockwave pulse that threatens anyone too close, making it risky to hug it or fight it at point blank range.
How to fight it
Blaze Grenades are one of the simplest and most cost-effective ways to handle a Leaper. Throw a grenade directly onto it and let the burn run its course. When the burn ends, throw another. After a couple of burn cycles, the Leaper can usually be finished off with one or two shots from a Heavy Ammo weapon.
Unique drop
The Leaper Pulse Unit is the Leaper’s unique drop and is used to upgrade the Utility Station.
